don't want to hear about the possibilities of the game ending right now, and I don't want to hear about that shit.
"It's very easy to get caught up in all the possibilities of what might happen, and that's only going to keep you from enjoying the journey. This is about having the experience of your life, and that's what's important. If you're not enjoying yourself, what's the point of playing the game?"
If you're not enjoying yourself, what's the point of playing the game?
That's the line that often gets twisted to make a player feel like he's being unfairly punished for not engaging with the game. "If you're not enjoying yourself, then why bother?" is the argument that happens before players get put down for not playing.
It's true that you shouldn't play the game for the joy of it, but most gamers aren't playing for fun. They're playing to experience the game. They're playing to put themselves through the mental and emotional journey of the game. A huge part of why some players have a good time is because they're enjoying themselves.
They're enjoying themselves because they're treating the game like a movie. Movies are often called escapist because the viewer isn't necessarily expected to feel what's going on. You don't really have to know what's going on on screen. You can watch the movie and think, "Hey, that's a cool looking movie!" You can watch a horror movie and enjoy the scares. If a movie scares you or you feel like you don't understand what's happening on the screen, you might stop watching. You might be less likely to go to the theater, because you don't want to deal with the fear.
But when you play a video game, you aren't just watching a movie. You're there. You're a part of the experience. You're experiencing it. So if you're feeling that the experience isn't enjoyable, it's time to do something about it.
It's time to find a way to enjoy the game.
You know why, when you're experiencing the game, you are experiencing it? Because you're not distracted. You aren't busy staring at your phone, or busy watching TV, or listening to the radio. You're in the game, experiencing the game, experiencing the game, experiencing the game.
And when you're in the game, when you're experiencing be359ba680
